SHIPPING POLICY - [Malibu Succulent Nursery]

We Ship From: Malibu, CA 90265

We grow and ship all our plants fresh from our nursery in Malibu, California.

1. WHEN WE SHIP - LIVE PLANT SCHEDULE

We ship live plants Monday through Wednesday only.

Why? We do not want your succulents sitting in a hot/cold USPS/UPS warehouse over the weekend. If you order Thursday-Sunday, your order will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

Cutoff time: Orders must be placed by 10 AM PST on Monday-Wednesday to ship same day. Orders after 10 AM ship the next shipping day.

2. PROCESSING TIME

Single 2.5" plants: 1-2 business days
12-Pack and bulk trays: 1-3 business days (we hand-select each plant for uniformity)

You will receive a tracking number via email once your label is created.

3. SHIPPING RATES & CARRIERS

We ship via USPS Ground Advantage and UPS Ground from California.

  • Single 2.5" Plant: Starting at $6.99
  • 2-5 Plants: $9.99 flat
  • 12-Pack (12 x 2.5"): $14.99 flat - this is a heavy box
  • Free Shipping: On orders over $75 (12-packs almost always qualify)

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and distance. Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico may have an additional $10 surcharge due to agricultural inspection.

4. WEATHER HOLD POLICY - PLEASE READ

Because we ship LIVE plants, we will hold your order if extreme weather is in your area.

  • Heat Hold: If temperatures are over 95°F at your delivery location or along the route, we will hold your order and ship when it cools down. We may add a free heat pack / cold pack at our discretion.
  • Cold Hold: If temperatures are below 35°F at your delivery location, we will hold your order until it warms up to avoid freeze damage. We include a 72-hour heat pack in winter for free.
  • We will email you if your order is placed on weather hold.

We are not responsible for plants that die due to extreme weather if you request us to ship anyway against our hold.

5. HOW WE PACK YOUR PLANTS

  • Single 2.5" plants: Shipped in the pot with dry soil, wrapped in paper, and secured so they don't shift. A few fallen jelly beans/leaves on Sedum rubrotinctum and Drosanthemum rosea is NORMAL.
  • 12-Packs: Shipped in a custom tray in their pots, dry soil, packed tight to prevent damage. We do NOT overwater before shipping to prevent rot in transit.
  • We do not include heat packs or cold packs unless weather requires it.

6. TRACKING & DELIVERY

You MUST track your package and bring it inside immediately upon delivery. Do not leave live plants in a mailbox, on a hot porch, or in freezing temperatures.

We are not responsible for:

  • Packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by you
  • Packages that are delayed by USPS/UPS
  • Plants that die because the package was left outside for hours/days
  • Packages marked "delivered" but stolen from your porch

7. DAMAGED OR DEAD ON ARRIVAL

See our Return & Refund Policy. You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the plants in the original packaging.

8. WE DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE USA

At this time we only ship within the United States due to USDA regulations. We do not ship to California addresses that require additional quarantine - we are already in California.
